Welcome to Flowers on the Ridge! We are a premium flower shop located in the heart of beautiful Basking Ridge. We provide quality flower arrangements for all occasions to the surrounding Somerset county area. Whether you are a business lookig to enhance your lobby, a bride planning your dream wedding or a friend sending a birthday greeting, you will receive our excellent service and the personal touch we are well known for.
The owner, Richard S. Blauvelt, is a talented floral designer with over 35 years of experience in the floral industry. In 2008 he renovated the family historical home of 155 years and opened "Flowers on the Ridge". Richard is never short of inspiration when it comes to floral design. When you stop in or call, Richard will always make time to speak with you personally and help you choose your gift or arrangement.
And if you are planning a wedding, Richard has designed a special wedding consultation room just for your visit! Some of Richards’ major achievements include designing Christmas for the White House and the Inaugurals for Presidents Clinton and Bush. He was designer of the year for the state of NJ for 3 consecutive years. Richard has been an AIFD member for 5 years.
Flowers on the Ridge also carries a unique line of giftware, baskets, green plants, silks, centerpieces, decorative home accents and more. Our friendly staff is always available to greet you and custom wrap your gift. Our shop has been decorated in a charming country garden style that makes you feel right at home.

Delivery Policy
- A local delivery fee of $11 will be added to each order, for each address. (For deliveries outside our local delivery area, this fee may be higher.)
- U.S. orders must be received before 1:30 p.m. in the recipient's time zone to assure same-day delivery.
- Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day.
- We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at specific times of day, but we cannot guarantee it.
- We are unable to make deliveries on Sundays.
- Deliveries requested on this day will be delivered the following business day.
Substitution Policy
Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country.
Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays.
In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
